Mission & Vision
Scribed exists to help people slow down, put pen to paper, and make sense of their lives, creating space for reflection, healing, and growth through the practice of journaling as a tool for deeper prayer and self-examination.
To become a trusted community where reflection is normalized, where people are equipped to think deeper, heal fully, and move forward with clarity and purpose, journaling alongside prayer as a means of drawing closer to God and to themselves.
“Write the vision, make it plain.”
How It Works
No performance, no pressure. Just presence, a guided prompt, and a quiet room to slow down in.
A small, intimate circle. No performance, no pressure. Just presence and a quiet room to slow down in.
A guided prompt leads you inward. Pen to paper, phones away. Time to write freely and sit with what surfaces.
Community reflection is always invited, never required. Some pages are just for you and God.
Gatherings
Small circles for writing, reflection, and prayer. Some are invite-only, some open to register.

Hi, I’m Chakeidra! I’m a mother, daughter, nurse, friend, and most of all, a lover of Christ! I’m the kind of person who can never have too many journals. Writing has always helped me slow down, talk to God, and make sense of what’s on my heart. When Marica and I started dreaming of Scribed, I knew I wanted it to feel like that—a space to be honest, grow in faith, promote healthy digestion of life and its events, as well as, connect with people who get it. I believe that journaling is a tool to help us all heal and I’m so glad you’re here! I can’t wait to journal with you!

Hi, I'm Marica! I'm someone who sees everything in life as stewardship, our time, our story, even the hard parts, and I try to move through life with that in mind. I care deeply about people, which probably comes from spending years sitting with women in some of the most raw, vulnerable moments of their lives. Somewhere along the way, journaling became my own way of processing all of it. It's where I go to talk to God, sort through what I'm really feeling, and figure out what to do with everything I'm carrying. Scribed came out of that. Chakeidra and I wanted to create a space where other people could find the same thing writing gave us: room to be honest, room to grow, and room to heal. I'm so grateful you're here, and I can't wait to see what you write.
